During the third week of December 2015, USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub held consultations in Washington, DC with Nathan Associates. Nathan is an important Trade Hub partner helping to deliver the trade policy and facilitation component of the Trade Hub work plan.
Its experts assist the Trade Hub with devising fiscal, trade, and labor policies; mapping out the progress of regional economic integration; conducting trade and investment policy analysis; and providing trade policy capacity building. The Trade Hub’s capacity building services have helped SADC policymakers formulate and adjust trade policy to help businesses take advantage of opportunities from freer trade and investment.
The meeting reviewed work plan outputs, short-term technical assistance planning, and scheduling and project delivery for the remaining period of the Trade Hub project.
