Sebvest Capital Partners and the USAID Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub have partnered to establish the African Trade Platform (ATP), an innovative digital marketplace that utilizes state-of-the-art algorithms to match trade players within a transaction, enabling efficiency in the trade process. On September 9, 2020, the Sebvest Capital team, led by Group Executive Director Warwick Blamey and Digital Development Head Dean Cassey, held an internal workshop and virtual demonstration to the USAID TradeHub team, showcasing the functionality of the ATP and answering questions on how exporters from the USAID TradeHub’s priority countries will benefit from the platform. Specifically, the platform will speed up the export trade process by linking market players together more efficiently. The workshop was attended by 40 staff of the USAID TradeHub throughout the region.
