On September 29, 2020, the USAID Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub (USAID TradeHub) facilitated a meeting between Mozambique-based investment advisor Third Way Africa and Protomate, a private-sector firm. Protomate is seeking funding from Third Way Africa for its tomato processing project in Chokwe in Mozambique. Third Way Africa is an investment banking and advisory firm based in Maputo and London. It finances growth opportunities in Mozambique that achieve financial returns while delivering positive impact for society. The USAID TradeHub office in Mozambique is providing technical support to Protomate to access capital for its tomato processing plant.
