NSW Meeting in NamibiaUSAID's Southern Africa Trade Hub participated in the second meeting of Namibia’s National Single Window Steering Committee on April 7 at the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and SMEs (formerly the Ministry of Trade & Industry) in Windhoek. The NSW Steering Committee is the highest decision-making body for the National Single Window project and will approve budgetary strategy, define and realize benefits, and monitor overarching project risk, quality, and schedule.

The committee consists of Permanent Secretaries and CEOs from 17 stakeholder ministries, agencies and organizations. USAID Namibia country representative, Barry Primm, also attended the meeting.

Following Trade Hub technical guidance, the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & SMEs has assigned a full-time staff member to the National Single Window project and is about to begin renovation of an office unit specifically for the project.
