On Friday, May 8, 2020 the USAID TradeHub met with FFF Associates Inc., a Connecticut-based trade promotion service provider with which the program recently entered into a partnership agreement. The meeting explored ways to leverage FFF’s U.S-based trade consulting expertise to assist export-ready southern African firms seeking to promote their products in the United States. To this end, FFF offers international sales and marketing, operations, quality assurance, regulatory, and government relations services. The USAID TradeHub seeks to establish linkages between FFF and other similar providers with purveyors of specialty food ingredients, snacks, dried fruits, and nuts from the region. These non-perishable products may fare especially well amid delayed trans-Atlantic shipping times and with customer demand rising for products with longer shelf lives. To assist FFF with its outreach to potential new clients, the USAID TradeHub will be updating its list of ingredients suppliers from the region, surveying these suppliers’ export support needs, and organizing a webinar to be facilitated by FFF experts.
