Organizers of the USAID TradeHub-supported Organics and Natural Products Africa Expo 2020, originally planned for May 8-10, 2020, have launched an innovative online platform for regional exhibitors—including those supported by the USAID TradeHub—to meet with prospective buyers. Through the platform, which will be made public soon, the 12 USAID TradeHub-supported exhibitors can post information about their companies and products on a dedicated “find a supplier” page. Plans are also underway to enable video uploads aimed at exposing regional firms directly to potential buyers. To help them leverage the new online tool, the USAID TradeHub is working with exhibitors to assess their existing marketing materials, suggest ways to improve them, and ensure they are uploaded to the new platform. The USAID TradeHub will share a link to the new site as soon as it is ready. Meanwhile, expo organizers continue to assess the current travel restrictions as they consider new dates for the in-person gathering.
