As part of its push to safely maintain business continuity during the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the USAID TradeHub this week facilitated virtual meetings between the South Africa Grain Information Service (SAGIS) and the Zambia Agricultural Information Service (ZAIS) to further inform the latter’s business plan, which is being developed with USAID TradeHub support. The ZAIS consultant supported by the USAID TradeHub will now work with the ZAIS board to develop a customized business plan for Zambia. By involving industry stakeholders based in South Africa, the USAID TradeHub seeks to increase regional knowledge exchange and improve the prospects for a successful rollout of Zambia’s agricultural information service. Such a service will contribute to the country’s trade competitiveness in this key regional sector.
