Zambia-based honey producer Nature’s Nectar has approached the USAID Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub to assist with the firm’s bid to finance its expansion plans. Nature’s Nectar is seeking $500,000 in working capital. The firm would like to structure a debt plan over three years but is open to a shorter or longer period if necessary. To explore its options, Nature’s Nectar will engage with finance providers identified by the USAID TradeHub. If successful, the debt deal will enable Nature’s Nectar to fulfill annual honey orders of up to 1,000 metric tons beginning 2021. The USAID TradeHub will facilitate formal introductions to capital providers contracted by the program—Neu Capital Africa, IDF Capital, and Sebvest Capital Partners.
