The Trade Information Portal will be launched on July 22 in WindhoekThe official launch of the Namibia Trade Information Portal has been confirmed for July 22, 2015. The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Finance with the Honorable Minister Calle Schlettwein giving the keynote speech in the presence of USAID’s leadership.

The event celebrates the culmination of more than 18 months of collaboration between USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub and the Government of the Republic of Namibia, particularly Namibia Customs & Excise. The launch of the Trade Information Portal will be attended by senior officials from the Namibian Government, representatives from the Namibia’s trade associations, and senior personnel from SACU member states’ Revenue Authorities.

The Namibia Trade Information portal is a web-based platform on which the Government of the Republic of Namibia will publish trade regulatory information from all government offices, ministries, and agencies that impose controls on Namibian trade. The portal will provide a single, authoritative source and will reduce the effort and time required for traders to access the information and documentation required for trade.
