The Trade Hub assists course participants From February 1-5, 2016, USAID’s Southern Africa Trade Hub trained government and private sector stakeholders in Malawi on business process reengineering to prepare them for National Single Window (NSW) implementation.

During the course, participants completed process maps of procedures related to import permits and clearances for participating agencies. BPR training will continue in the following weeks as the Trade Hub works closely with Blantyre-based agencies to complete the import process maps and begin process mapping for transits and exports.

Representatives of the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA); the Malawi Bureau of Standards; the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development; the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry; the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre and the Reserve Bank of Malawi attended the course.
